The Drug War is destroying communities on both sides of the Border.

Help welcome Mexico’s Caravan for Peace with Justice and Dignity to Baltimore as it makes its way across the country, sharing stories and talking about how we can put and end to and move beyond the War on Drugs.

The Caravan arrives on Sept. 8th, and we have a weekend full of activities.

Saturday, Sept. 8th
- The “Keep Me Home” Celebration: 11am-5pm, Irvington Park (342 Martingale Ave, Baltimore, MD, 21229)
LBS is helping to keep youth out of jail and providing them opportunities!The Keep Me Home cookout is a celebration of LBS training youth organizers to recruit recently incarcerated youth for a self improvement program. This is apart of a larger agenda that aims to provide our youth services and support for their long term goals.
There will be performances, *free food and so much more!
The event will also be the welcoming reception for the Caravan, and a time for mothers from Baltimore and mothers from Mexico to share stories of lives lost to the Drug WarThis promises to be an exciting, fun, inspiring and educational event. YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS IT!
*FOOD WILL BE SERVED AT 1PM.-Poet, Victim and Caravan Leader Javier Sicilia, speaks at Johns Hopkins Univ at 7pm Hodson 110, Homewood Campus “On the struggle against narco-violence & the costs of the drug war in Mexico”.
Sunday, Sept. 9th
A Summit to End the War on Drugs: Baltimore & Beyond Borders. Join us as we discuss alternatives to the drug war and come up with next steps here in Baltimore for moving beyond the War on Drugs.

2-6:30pm at Sojourner-Douglass College  (200 N. Central Ave, Parking on Aisquith St.)

-Keynote: Former Baltimore Mayor/ Dean of Howard University Law School, Kurt Schmoke

-Panel: From Baltimore to Mexico: End the Drug War Now!
