Sixty guns recovered from crime scenes in Mexico in 2009 and 2010 were traced by ATF to purchases from Western Firearms in Bell, making it the dealer in California with the largest number of traces to Mexico. There are 24 licensed gun dealers in the city of LosAngeles. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, whichsupports establishing the gun dealer Code of Conduct to prevent straw purchases of guns.
