“The Federal Government of our country gave out 22 concessions over more than 6 thousand acres across the Real de Catorce mountains to the mining company First Majestic Silver Corp.- Real Bonanza, S.A. de C.V.. But the whole of the mountains of Catorce and the whole of Wirikuta is one of the most important altars where our pilgrims agree for the fertility and balance of the world and all of its creatures and we have evidence that the mining operation would affect in a profound way the ecology of the área poluting and drying our holy springs.
In this times of extreme violence in our country, that are terminating with the social fabric, with this megaproject they are kidnapping and want to murder our mother, Earth, whom they have menaced, and are trying to forcibly disappear an entire people, the Wixárika people.
This is why we demand the immediate cancelation of such concessions and any other intended to obtain mineral sor destroy Wirikuta in any other way, because if the object of this whole tragedy is money, we firmly inform you that it will be infinetely less expensive to get rid of this enterprise than to regret the ecologic, spiritual and social tragedy that the digging and extraction of the Wirikuta loins.
